{My} Disclosure and Ad Policy

Ok fellow Wine{a}bes…I felt it was time to update/add/address the whole blogger disclosure issue.  I have been spending a lot of time blogging lately…and plan to continue that trend. {Yay!}

If you have noticed, I have added Google Ads to my site and Amazon Affiliate Links.  Why, you ask?  Well, it is simple.  Buying all this wine and spending time at amazing, wonderful wineries costs me money.  If I can make a few pennies back by offering my readers helpful links and advertisements, then I need to do so.  It just wouldn’t be smart business not to.  And see, although this is a blog, it needs to be treated as a business.  So, that is what I’m planning on doing.

Therefore, in compliance with the FTC, I have to tell you these things:

  • If you click on a Google advertisement on my blog, I will be paid per click.
  • If you click on an Amazon affiliate link, I will be paid if you purchase something.
  • As of the date of this publishing, I have never been sent any wine for free. OMG, I was just sent wine for free, to review at a wine twitter party. You will read about it soon.  Aside from that instance, I have used my own cold hard cash to purchase it.  If you would like to send me wine to review for free, that would be fabulous!  And, if that ever happens, I will let my readers know.
  • As of the date of this publishing, I have never been paid to visit a winery and write a review or vlog.  However, If you are a winery, and would like to pay me to visit you and write a review, I would love to!  And then, I would disclose it to my readers.
  • If for some crazy reason someone from The Travel Channel is reading this… Yes, I would Love to host a TV show highlighting amazing wineries all over the world.  You could pay me for that, and I would let me readers know.
  • Any giveaways I have done, I paid for with my own cold hard cash.  But, if someone would like to sponsor a giveaway…that would be great…then I would let my readers know.
  • As I turn my blog into a business, my readers need to know one important fact.  I will always write my own opinion.  A business sponsor will never sway my opinion.  And, if anything is indeed sponsored, given for free, or paid, I will let my readers know.  Until then, you can safely assume I’m broke, since I’ve been paying for everything on my own {Sorry Hubby}.

Now, onto how I would like to make some dough to support my blogging addiction.

  • Once again…The Travel Channel…

I think that sums it up for now.  Bottom line, I’ll let you, my readers, know if I’m receiving compensation for anything.  Thank you for reading.  I couldn’t do this without you!
PS…If I missed anything…let me know…I need a glass of wine after writing all this.
